We are licensed by the NC Division of Child Development and maintain a 5-Star Rating. The basis for our curriculum is The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos, and The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. We offer a hands on developmental approach to early learning. Our students also benefit from the following enrichment activities
Daily Biblical Instruction
Weekly Music Classes
Weekly Health and Fitness Classes
Muzzy Spanish Curriculum
Our Preschool II class (Pre-K) also uses the Building Bridges Curriculum. We participated in the Building Bridges Curriculum research project sponsored by the Frank Porter Graham School at UNC-Ch in 2006-07. This curriculum “bridges” the typical learning domains in early Pre-K classrooms with activities that emphasize social and emotional development. Our goal is prepare the “whole child” for his/her success in primary school. We feel that children who learn practical, positive social and emotional skills early are better equipped for success in later years.
Our classroom teachers keep a Developmental Portfolio on each toddler and preschool student. Parents receive an Individualized Child Profile Report on their child’s developmental progress twice a year.
The Best Learning Is Active Learning
